Doctor of Canon and Civil Law , JUD (Abkürzung)

From 1452 to 1459 he was again a student at Bologna, winning the degree of doctor of canon and civil law.

He was educated at La Sapienza University, becoming a doctor of canon and civil law.

He became Doctor of canon and civil law in 1472, and left Italy for Germany in 1497.

He was also educated at Heidelberg University, Germany from which institution he received the degree of Doctor of Canon and Civil Law or J.U.D. in 1855.

He previously earned a Juris Doctor degree from DePaul University, making him the holder of degrees utriusque juris as Doctor of Canon and Civil Law.

On 3 October of that year, he was succeeded at the university by the professor of humanistic literature and secetary of the university, Peter Mallia, a doctor of canon and civil law.

He continued his studied at the Pontifical Athenaeum "S. Apollinare" where he became a Doctor of Sacred Theology (S.T.D.)and a Doctor of Canon and Civil Law (J.U.D.).

Having been made a Doctor of Canon and Civil Law (1715), he was sent to Rome and on his return was chosen, in 1721, to succeed Benedict Schmier, as professor of canon law at the Benedictine University of Salzburg, where he remained for a period of twenty years.
