Southern Crown

Arvedui in 1944 claimed the Southern crown, but this was refused.

Its Latin name means "southern crown", and it is the southern counterpart of Corona Borealis, the northern crown.

Arvedui of the North claims the southern crown, both on his wife's behalf and on his own as representing 'the elder line of Isildur'.

It serves the neighborhoods of southern Crown Heights, Wingate, Flatbush, East Flatbush, and the Brooklyn College area.

Among sportswriters, Georgia Tech seemed the only challenger for the mythical Southern crown, though the 1922 Southern Conference championship was officially a tie between Vanderbilt, Georgia Tech, and North Carolina.
