Bernardine monk

In the interbellum period, Bernardine monks from Zbaraz operated a middle school here.

It represents the coronation of the Virgin among angels and saints, including many Bernardine monks.

Recently the buildings were returned to the Bernardine monks, who established the International Centre of Youth there.

In 1665 Tomasz Gocłowski founded a monastery to settle the Bernardine monks in the town.

Around 1240, shortly after the Christianization of Estonia, the Bernardine monks built a church order, which they dedicated to the Virgin Mary.

Removed from ownership of the Bernardine monks in the second half of the 19th century, the complex of buildings was donated to the Orthodox community of Lutsk.

It was established in 1810 by the Bernardine monks of the Church of St. Francis of Assisi, just east of the city center in the Užupis district, and is situated on an embankment of the Vilnia river.
