The ANS Synthesizer discography (Russian/English)

The ANS synthesizer is a photoelectronic musical instrument created by Russian engineer Evgeny Murzin from 1937 to 1957.

He wrote his first composition in 1967 on one of the first synthesizers, the ANS synthesizer developed by the Soviet engineer Evgeny Murzin.

ANS was a CD-R created and produced by Coil with use of the famed ANS synthesizer.

Murzin was an engineer who worked in areas unrelated to music, and the development of the ANS synthesizer was a hobby and he had many problems realizing on a practical level.

The album expanded upon Thighpaulsandra's already extensive instrumental palette, including an autoharp, hurdy gurdy and the rare photoelectric ANS synthesizer, which allows one to synthesize sounds from artificially drawn soundwaves and images.

However, some individual studios and instruments achieved a high level of sophistication, such as the Trautonium of Oskar Sala, the Electronium of Raymond Scott, and the ANS synthesizer of Evgeny Murzin.
